Stageworx Randburg - PART-TIME

Courses & Classes

Our Founding LIVE Training School in RANDBURG GAUTENG which has a variety of group and private training classes, Full-Time and Part-Time, not only provide our budding performers with a chance of exposer to the entertainment industry, but also train their disciplines for a possible future career in the arts industry.

A great deal of emphasis is placed on developing communication skills, organizational skills and encouraging self discipline and development. We aim to produce disciplined performers who are self motivated and driven towards goals.

In the current climate of arts careers, it is important to look beyond becoming a triple threat performer. Our package options have varied classes, which offer combinations to cover the full spectrum of arts development.

Stageworx training and exposure have supported students in securing roles and performing in Musical Theatre Productions, TV and Film and the Music Industry. Other student successes lead to securing training in overseas establishments, discovered a love and passion for teaching, videography, photography or simply found their personal direction through their arts training.

Stageworx encourage the motto of “learning through doing”. Learners and students are given the opportunity to attend professional auditions, experience the process and identify their performance shortfalls and areas of growth. Classroom training can only teach so much, the actual “doing”, determines the qualities and growth required to fully understand the beauty of a career in the arts. Auditions are not secured or guaranteed, as some auditions are open to the whole school where other auditions are based on selections according to a client’s brief, student dedication, commitment to classes and work ethic.

A great deal of care and thought goes into selecting the best class options for you, so every new student will go through a practical and interview admissions process.

Urban Life

Starting 1 August 2021

Life skills are defined as “a group of psychosocial competencies and interpersonal skills that help people make informed decisions, solve problems, think critically and creatively, communicate effectively, build healthy relationships, empathize with others, and cope with and manage their lives in a healthy way emotionally, physically and psychologically. The term ‘Life Skills’ refers to the skills you need to make the most out of life.

In the current situation of the world we are seeing the adverse effects that this is having on the emotional stability of our students. The arts and creativity has always been a way of release, finding a happy space with like-minded individuals that has assisted students in coping with the disarray of the world. An important part of our training is Stageworx is not only training future creatives, but teaching creatives how to use their skills in ANY position, career and in life in general.

We have now added a new component to our offering ‘Life Skills”

Each session is carefully constructed to include the topics below and additional topics which arise from the classes’ discussion section.

The class is not only aimed at students who are pursuing a career in the ARTS, but is open to all students (please see age restrictions and other conditions below), as the basic premise is focusing on life skills across the board.

This class is about how the biological/physiological, behavioural, cognitive, humanistic, psychodynamic, and sociocultural affect us in our daily lives and will be headed up by Mark Guthrie.
