Dr. Bailey Snyman – Workshop Biography
Dr. Bailey Snyman is an award-winning choreographer, educator, and theatre practitioner with over 25 years of experience in education and professional performance. He holds a PhD from the University of the Witwatersrand (2023) in Embodiment Philosophy and Choreography, specializing in movement studies and theatrical storytelling.
Currently, Dr. Snyman is the Head of Dramatic Arts and Theatre Studies at Redhill School, where he oversees a dynamic department that engages students in both IEB and IB Theatre curricula. Prior to this, he lectured at the University of the Witwatersrand (Wits), the University of Pretoria (UP), and the Tshwane University of Technology (TUT), shaping the next generation of performers and theatre-makers.
